Track Your Weight Loss with Weightbot
Weightbot is a great little iPhone app that allows you to track your weight loss right on your iPhone. When you first start the Weightbot app, you are greeted with some instructions so you get a quick idea of what you need to do. Then you get to put in some of your details like your target weight and your height. There are some other options in the configuration interface like password protecting your app, sound options, unit options and even a backup option. Once you’ve filled in these details it’s off to the scales to see how much you weigh.
Once you have your weight and all configurations complete, you enter your weight into the current day weight tracker. This then records your weight for the day and this information is cleverly used to calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index) and also for the trendy graph you get when you turn the iPhone to landscape view. The graph is pretty neat. It shows you your current weight plotted on a graph and a new plot for each days weight entry so you can see your weight loss over time. This is a great idea because it’s much more motivating to keep training when you can see incremental successes. The graph also has a line showing what is overweight for your height and also a nice red line which shows your goal weight that you initially set when configuring your details.
Weightbot has a very nice interface which the developers have spent the time to make this app really slick and better than average. Weighbot is easy to use does what it is supposed to do pretty well. There does seem to be the odd app freeze mainly when viewing the graph where I got a black screen and the app seemed to hang but I’m sure the developers will sort these issues out in future versions. A great app worth getting for those who want to track their weight loss over time.
